Popular festivities make my flash happy
Every year, in the morning of January the 1st, La Barceloneta Beach in Barcelona is the meeting point for hundreds of people of all ages. They gather and celebrate the new year with a refreshing first sea bath.
Naturally, for most northeners, 13ºC is not specialy cold a temperature but for the mediterranean crowd, this happy January popular celebration is quite a challenge.
For two years (before Covid, which now implies reducing mass gathering) I’ve been documenting the happy celebration.
